The Artist
Ceramic Work at the Intersection of Architecture, Light, and Form
James Hicks is a ceramic artist whose work explores the intersection of architecture, light, and form. Drawing on an architectural sensibility, his lamps and sculptural objects investigate structure, surface, and the way light interacts with ceramic material.
Each piece is carefully developed in the studio through a process of experimentation with form, texture, and glazing. The work sits between functional design and sculpture — objects intended for everyday spaces while also existing as studies of light, structure, and material.

Custom Work

Custom lamps and sculptural objects can be created for collectors, designers, and architectural projects. If you have a specific idea, space, or project in mind, you are welcome to reach out to discuss a custom piece.
Each request is considered individually, and pieces can be developed based on existing designs or new concepts.
